Program Overview

The CABS Awards are an annual awards program designed to celebrate excellence with business students and business student associations. Nominees are promoted through the general membership, and voting for each award is completed by a combination of the CABS Management Team and the Board of Directors of the Corporation.

Executive All-Star Team AwardsAwarded to the Business Student Association executives who best exemplify passion, dedication, and going above and beyond their typical role or job description for the betterment of their respective business school student communities. The award is nominated and voted for on an individual basis as follows for the following positions: President, VP Finance, VP Marketing, VP Events and Operations, and VP External.CABS Management Team
Associate / Subsidiary Clubs of the Year AwardsAwarded to the top associate and subsidiary clubs of CABS member societies as nominated by their parent societies. All subsidiary and associate clubs will be judged based on overall performance on the year.CABS Management Team and CABS Board of Directors
Most Outstanding Organizing CommitteeAwarded to the CABS specific conference organizing committee judged to manage the greatest challenges and deliver superior value to attending delegates. Effectively determined as a conference where the CABS Management Team and/or Board of Directors meets at; thus eligible conferences for this award are CABS Roundtable, ECLR, WCLR, CBSC, and NBSC OC’s.CABS Board of Directors
Most Outstanding Business Student AssociationAwarded to the CABS Member Society and their executive team for being judged to execute to the highest level within their peer group in the current year. Note: Only Class A members of CABS are eligible for this award.CABS Management Team
Rising Star (Business Student Association)Awarded to the CABS Member Society that made the biggest strides with respect to their management and execution of their operations in the current operating year from the previous year.CABS Board of Directors
Breakout BSA MemberAwarded to the executive on a CABS Member Society and/or council member and incoming executive on a CABS Member Society that is judged to have made the greatest strides in the current operating year and possess the tools to meet the challenges that they will face in the upcoming year. Note: a current year executive returning as an executive or a current year council member that is an incoming executive for the upcoming CABS year on their respective CABS member BSA are eligible for this award.CABS Management Team
Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award (CABS Circuit Alumni)Awarded to an Alumni of the CABS circuit who, during their time in the circuit and after leaving it, have significantly contributed to the betterment of business student life inside and outside the CABS circuit and who continue to uphold themselves as model members of their communities and are ambassadors of the CABS circuit and brand. Alumni at least 2 to 4 years removed from any formal role in CABS (i.e. BoD, Management Team) are eligible for nomination for this award. There shall be one winner, male or female, per year.CABS Management Team
Spirit of CABSAwarded to the CABS Member Society and their executive team for displaying the best collaboration, spirit, and efforts in their contributions made to the CABS circuit and its events in the current year. Note: Class A and B members of CABS are eligible for this award.CABS Management Team and CABS Board of Directors
Best New InitiativeAwarded to the CABS Member Society judged to create the best new event or service offering that was run in the current operating year that brought the most incremental value to its business school student community. Note: any new event run the current year by a Class A or B member of CABS is eligible for this award.CABS Management Team and CABS Board of Directors

Most Outstanding CouncilThe Most Outstanding Organizing Council award is given to a council that has demonstrated professionalism and punctuality while showing the greatest improvement, engagement of constituents, spirit, or progress.CABS Board of Directors
Most Outstanding Organizing CouncilThe Most Outstanding Organizing Council title is awarded to the Organizing Committee who best exemplified the model characteristics of a model OC with the planning and execution of their respective conference or competition. Specifics include, but are not limited to, meeting sponsorship goals, keeping all stakeholder relations organized, and cooperating with CABS Management Team with the best intentions of the event in mind.CABS Board of Directors
Spirit of CABSThe BSA that exemplifies the values and beliefs on CABS not only with their student's society, but going above and beyond into their daily lives. What we want to see is a BSA who is constantly looking for ways to improve themselves, as well as strengthen those around them. Engage friends and family with whatever it is that they may be doing, giving back, and showing their community that business students are not just 1-dimensional.CABS Board of Directors
Best New InitiativeThe award is given to the BSA that has found a unique and effective way of solving a major issue, successful implementation of an innovative program or project, or other initiative.CABS Board of Directors
