Meet Jordynne Hislop, incoming Vice President, Members & Alumni Relations, for the 2017 fiscal year! An Orillia, Ontario native, Jordynne has been involved as a member of the DAN Management Students’ Association at Western University since her first year in 2012. However, it was only in her 3rd year that she became heavily involved with her BSA in an executive role, due to her prior commitments as a varsity athlete! Currently pursuing a Human Resources Management specialization, after making a switch from Accounting, she plans to spend the next 5 years completing a M.Sc. in Management, specializing in International Business. Eventually, her goal is to top it all off with a Law degree!

We also asked Jordynne some more fun questions to get to know a little bit more about her!

CABS: If you were a kitchen appliance, what would you be, and why?
Jordynne: A KitchenAid mixer – not sure why, but it was the first thing that came to mind and when I asked my roommates for help, they said the same!

CABS: What punctuation mark most accurately describes you?
Jordynne: An exclamation mark, although sometimes I feel as though the upside down smiley emoji conveys myself/feelings best…!

CABS: If you had to switch to a field of study other than business, what would you choose, and why?
Jordynne: Classical Studies – I’m currently in an elective course right now, “Crime and Punishment in Ancient Rome and Greece” and it’s really sparked my interest! It’s also cool learning about some of the places I’ve visited in Europe in more depth and understanding the history more thoroughly.
